In Ushuaia, Argentina, a 59-year-old Filipino crew member crossed the Ponant Le Lirial expedition cruise ship.
Ship officials requested assistance from rescue teams on Friday, February 10, after a crew member fell into the water while securing passage during mooring procedures.
The crew member was successfully retrieved by rescue swimmers from the Prefectural Rescue and Fire Station, Argentine Maritime Authority in Ushuaia, who responded to the scene and rescued the crew member who was wearing a life jacket.
According to the authorities, the man suffered injuries and was taken to the hospital, where he was examined and remained under observation until recovery.
