The Port of Tarragona expects to receive 70,000 cruise passengers, 10,000 more than initially calculated, thanks to the incorporation of eight new MSC Cruises stopovers, according to the Port Authority (APT).
MSC Cruises goes from one stopover to a total of nine and the first of the cruises, MSC Bellissima, will dock at seven in the morning this coming Sunday with 4,000 passengers on board, in addition to the disembarkation of 300 passengers and the embarkation of another 400.
MSC Bellissima will also call at Tarragona on Sundays 31 July, 21 August, 4 and 25 September, 9, 16 and 23 October and on Friday 11 November the cruise ship MSC Magnifica will take over command.
This is what the president of the APT, Josep Maria Cruset, informs at the meeting held this Thursday of the institutional Taula Creuers, made up of different institutions and socio-economic agents in Tarragona.
La Taula has a new member, Global Ports Holding, the cruise terminal concession company (which will be active in autumn 2023), and a state-of-the-art building in which they will invest 5.5 million euros.
