In April, American Cruise Lines will debut the new Mississippi river ship American Serenade, a ship that is uniquely suited to antiques cruises. On April 27, 2023, American Serenade will sail the popular Lower Mississippi River itinerary for the second time on American Cruise Lines. A cruise departs from Memphis, Tennessee and arrives in New Orleans, Louisiana.
ANTIQUES ROADSHOW VIP Experience
Beginning in 2021, American Cruise Lines is the national sponsor of ANTIQUES ROADSHOW, PBS’s most-watched current affairs series, which sparked the idea for this unforgettable collaboration. ANTIQUES ROADSHOW is currently filming episodes for its 28th season, which will air sometime next year.
The series follows antique owners from across the country who bring in items to be appraised by America’s top collectibles and antiques experts. Usually, the value of most antiques is directly related to their significance in American history.
“American Cruise Lines guests share a common bond with the millions of weekly ANTIQUES ROADSHOW viewers in their shared passion for American culture and discovering the fascinating histories that often exist in our own backyards,” said Charles B. Robertson, chairman, and CEO of American Cruise Lines. “We are pleased to be able to offer this special opportunity to our guests.”
On May 2, 2023, guests aboard American Serenade will have the opportunity to participate in the filming of ANTIQUES ROADSHOW. When the newest river cruise ship makes a stop in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, guests will have VIP access to the ANTIQUES ROADSHOW event, which will be held at the LSU Rural Life Museum. Guests may bring up to two items to be judged during the special event.
